A Leo Worship Session

I knew Leo was awesome at MCTA but I didn't really know how awesome until I saw our video this week. He skips around this course like it's a hunter round! He's never seen anything like those bank combinations before and he doesn't miss a beat. It's like all his training in the ring is actually translating to the cross country course - who would have thought, hah! Even his gallop has improved. He's more balanced and uphill - a real testament to all the work we've done to develop the quality and strength of our canter.

When I'm by myself and I think about how lucky I am to have a horse like Leo, I seriously get all chocked up. I even got choked up when I crossed the finish line on Saturday. (I swear I get more sappy the older I get.) Just the fact that I am competing at training level is a dream come true! I might as well be riding at the Olympics - that's how awesome this feels.

Leo and I be going to Fair Hill next weekend to compete. Jen is loaning me her truck and trailer and I am going solo. It kind of feels like I am leaving the nest for the first time.
